A day as a store manager at ThePhoneLab
The shop in Amsterdam is your pride and joy. Every morning you put the key in the lock and open your domain. Together with your team you make sure the shop looks tiptop all day. But not before you start off together with a good cup of coffee or tea. As store manager, you make a daily schedule for you and your team: are there any outstanding repairs, are there any appointments scheduled, and which required parts can you get ready in advance?
You are so well prepared that the first customer is back outside in no time. With a repaired phone, tablet or laptop, of course. Your accurate diagnosis of the broken device proved correct and behind the scenes you have already processed all the necessary information in our system. You have just helped the world a little further: you have given the device a new life, so the customer can get on with his life. Customer happy, planet happy, ThePhoneLab happy. And on with it!
On to the next appointment. Well on time, you log on to Google Meet, where you speak to all the other shop managers at ThePhoneLab every week. You share your input, but also listen attentively to your other colleagues. Everything can be discussed, but mostly it's about new repairs, special cases and other issues you run into in the shops. You share the information with your team Amsterdam immediately after the meeting.
During the day, you perform various tasks that are important for the shop. You place purchase orders, you book them in, you keep in touch with a customer for whom that one part has been delivered and ideally you immediately place it in the faulty appliance. You have long since processed returns and stock management is under control. You and your team have inventoried and fixed that in between.
All day, you monitor the tight schedule. Every repair is completed well within the agreed time and all customers leave the shop with a big smile. This planning depends on tight staff planning, which you fine-tune every month. You pay a lot of attention to your team: is everyone performing well, is everyone comfortable and has everyone followed the latest training courses? You keep your finger on the pulse and that results in positive performance interviews with favourable reviews. Because those positive reviews are also received from the customer.
Performing a task is one thing, but as a whole it ensures that your shop excels in all key areas: Customer Happiness, quality assurance, sales and shop image. All KPIs are achieved and you are responsible for that.
Sounds good right? And on! On to applying!
